An amazing night out with The Mrs.

we drove 45 mins to get to potters bar. all i can say is that the service, the meal and the staff were excellent. the ambiance of the venue was amazing. the meal was so good, we ordered more for take away. the Mrs insisted we come back again soon.

First time here and very impressed with the food and service. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Ended up here as the Chinese was closed. Really glad it was. Not your average Indian cuisine. There are lots of interesting dishes and combos to choose from.
We eat vegetarian or vegan and their menu catered well. The aubergine dish we had was delicious and totally unlike anything we’ve tried before. We also had an extremely large nan the size of an XL pizza which was crispy with sesame seeds, which I’d highly recommend. Indian restaurants are two a penny with little to separate menus; but this menu is different and exciting.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as did our carnivorous friend who joined. Will be back for sure.

This was my first time in Tamarind, but certainly not my last.

It’s a nice clean and tidy restaurant in Potters Bar. We let the guys know what we like and what level heat of we would like and they brought us out some truly wonderful dishes that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

The food Was utterly phenomenal, very welcoming and accommodating staff, with a very short wait time.

Can’t fault the restaurant at all, I’ll be back guys! 😋😋

Visited Tamarind after reading the reviews and was not disappointed.
Restaurant is lovely, food delicious and staff friendly and welcoming.
Will not hesitate to go back again.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere and presentation are beautiful and classy and clean. It feels so fancy, and I was worried it would be expensive, but it’s not! The staff go above and beyond and are very kind. The menu is awesome! I had the shashlick chicken. I’m new to curry, but this restaurant sold me on it. They’re experimenting with new twists on traditional recipes and it absolutely works. I’ve only been here once, and I really can’t find anything bad to say about this place. Being from the US, I hope to go back one day!

We love eating at the Tamarind as the food is amazing and the service so friendly and efficient. So we shouldn’t be surprised to find their home delivery food is just as good. So important to support our local small businesses when they have been forced to close their doors to customers again. Another wonderful meal – thank you.

Lovely atmosphere and wonderful food! Loved the kind and warm staff Had the chicken Tikka Masala and it was definitely one of the best dishes I have ever eaten Truly recommend!!

Great Meal!

Another visit to my favourite curry house and this time I brought three friends who had not visited before. The makeover the restaurant had over lockdown gives it a great ambience and the cutlery and China add to the whole experience.

I ordered my usual favourites of Chicken Mollmow to start and Lamb Shajahani for main. Absolutely spot on and my friends were suitably impressed with their selections too.

I would Highly recommend Tamarind and Anu and Islam give a wonderful warm welcome to their restaurant

We can’t wait for Tamarind to re-open after lockdown! We’ve enjoyed their takeaways throughout covid restrictions. Food always hot, tasty and plenty of it….thanks for being here during lockdown we look forward to sitting down in your refurbished restaurant very soon 🙂

First time I’m compelled to post a review on TA. Being from Birmingham I’ve been brought up with top notch Indian Balti restaurants for the last 30 years but haven’t ever found anything comparable in Potters Bar or down south in general. Tried Tamarind having tried and been disappointed with most others in PB, and wow I was back in a Birmingham Baltihouse. Had an absolutely superb takeaway last night, faultless Pathia and proper naan breads at last! Highly recommended, will be using this restaurant regularly.

First time ordering and it was a very tasty curry. Fantastic service even though they were really busy as its new years. Curry wasn’t watery at all and got a free bottle of white wine with the order.

We ordered takeaway curry for 35 people and were so impressed by the quality of the food and the ease of sorting such a large order!

Anu was very accommodating and patient and kindly threw in some starters on the house too.

Absolutely no complaints, top class all round – would highly recommend Tamarind!
