Had such a lovely evening as normal. The food is outstanding and they made our anniversary evening very special. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Ended up here as the Chinese was closed. Really glad it was. Not your average Indian cuisine. There are lots of interesting dishes and combos to choose from.
We eat vegetarian or vegan and their menu catered well. The aubergine dish we had was delicious and totally unlike anything we’ve tried before. We also had an extremely large nan the size of an XL pizza which was crispy with sesame seeds, which I’d highly recommend. Indian restaurants are two a penny with little to separate menus; but this menu is different and exciting.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as did our carnivorous friend who joined. Will be back for sure.

Great dinner place

Lovely atmosphere and wonderful food! Loved the kind and warm staff Had the chicken Tikka Masala and it was definitely one of the best dishes I have ever eaten Truly recommend!!

Great curry, great service!

We ordered takeaway curry for 35 people and were so impressed by the quality of the food and the ease of sorting such a large order!

Anu was very accommodating and patient and kindly threw in some starters on the house too.

Absolutely no complaints, top class all round – would highly recommend Tamarind!

Fantastic welcome, to bright and airy restaurant. Menu is interesting and varied. All in all a lovely evening great food, surroundings and atmosphere.

First time I’m compelled to post a review on TA. Being from Birmingham I’ve been brought up with top notch Indian Balti restaurants for the last 30 years but haven’t ever found anything comparable in Potters Bar or down south in general. Tried Tamarind having tried and been disappointed with most others in PB, and wow I was back in a Birmingham Baltihouse. Had an absolutely superb takeaway last night, faultless Pathia and proper naan breads at last! Highly recommended, will be using this restaurant regularly.

Great Meal!

Another visit to my favourite curry house and this time I brought three friends who had not visited before. The makeover the restaurant had over lockdown gives it a great ambience and the cutlery and China add to the whole experience.

I ordered my usual favourites of Chicken Mollmow to start and Lamb Shajahani for main. Absolutely spot on and my friends were suitably impressed with their selections too.

I would Highly recommend Tamarind and Anu and Islam give a wonderful warm welcome to their restaurant

We visited this restaurant for the first time – wow what a fantastic experience. From our initial telephone booking to our arrival and tasting of the food everything was superb. The food was the best Indian we have had for a long time, very tasty balanced spices and flavours and well presented. The service was impeccable, polite and also helpful if any explanation was needed. The menu was extensive with “Indian fusion” style food so you could choose from Bengal style , Sri Lankan specialities or more traditional Indian.

The decor of the restaurant was contemporary and modern.

Islam and Anu are a great front of house team along with the brother who cooks amazingly magical spiced food.

We can’t wait to go back and would recommend Tamarind to anyone looking for fabulous food and great service in the area.

This was my first time in Tamarind, but certainly not my last.

It’s a nice clean and tidy restaurant in Potters Bar. We let the guys know what we like and what level heat of we would like and they brought us out some truly wonderful dishes that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

The food Was utterly phenomenal, very welcoming and accommodating staff, with a very short wait time.

Can’t fault the restaurant at all, I’ll be back guys! 😋😋

Ordered a takeaway online through their excellent website at 6.10pm. 6.40pm food was ready for collection!

None of my family drink so where normally they give a free bottle of wine, I was offered a bottle of any soft drink- amazing to be so thoughtful.

We love the friendly staff, the food and the added extras- 15% discount from ordering online and a few freebie popadums.

Really hope this restaurant continues to do well when things reopen- nice refurbishment has been done and they deserve success.

We love eating at the Tamarind as the food is amazing and the service so friendly and efficient. So we shouldn’t be surprised to find their home delivery food is just as good. So important to support our local small businesses when they have been forced to close their doors to customers again. Another wonderful meal – thank you.

Amazing Chicken Tikka (main) sizzling and Excellent Customer Service

We went to the Tamarind last night after reading all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Customer service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and modern in decor. We ordered the Chicken Tikka (main) sizzling and the Lamb Madras with pilau rice, plain naan bread and vegetables. Every thing was cooked fresh and tasted wonderful. Probably the best Chicken Tikka I’ve tasted. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area. We will certainly be coming back soon and will bring our family and friends.

An amazing night out with The Mrs.

we drove 45 mins to get to potters bar. all i can say is that the service, the meal and the staff were excellent. the ambiance of the venue was amazing. the meal was so good, we ordered more for take away. the Mrs insisted we come back again soon.
